Legendary Collection: Each blanket comes with a label, which tells of the design or story that's depicted on the blanket.
Pendleton has been creating wool blankets with First Nations legends and symbols for over 100 years. They claim that Indigenous peoples were their first customer and continue to be some of their most loyal. These woolen blankets have been used as gifts to honor achievements or losses as long as they have been produced.
This "Elder's Circle of Life" is very recognizable as it depicts the medicine wheel. Pendleton decided to use the pattern in 1992 as an homage to tribal elders and the teachings that they pass down to future generations. Elders take on the responsibility of passing down ideas that help children to understand their place and relationship with nature and the universe.
